Yoga has recently become my new love. Wikipedia defines yoga as “a generic term for a physical, mental, and spiritual discipline originating in ancient India and found in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism.” But for me, it’s nothing more than awesome stretches that feel really good.
One of the most important things a person can do is stretching. Stretching is essential for a healthy spine, just as flossing is essential for healthy teeth.
My iPhone has really made my life easier in a lot of ways, yoga included. They have some great apps (for free or $.99) that give easy to follow instructions for the yoga poses. I’ve been doing it for about 3 weeks now, and I can already see a dramatic difference in my flexibility and balance. But really, it just feels good….and it feels good to feel good.
